Tax dollars no longer provides our community with the level of medical service we once took for granted (i.e. A small Hospital and Emergency Room). More critically, we are losing doctors, and as of June 2008, could have been reduced to one physician for 10,000 people. People traveling out-of-town for medical services is detrimental to business and the overall health of our community. To address this critical situation, a partnership was formed with the Kindale Developmental Association and the Haugen Community Healthcare Society was created.
The case for providing Armstrong - Spallumcheen with a group practice facilty is founded on the premise that "local, timely healthcare is essential to everyone's well-being". A facility where doctors can ensure the best possible service is not only an investment in our community but also a significant legacy for our children.
